Kole's Birthday!

Here are some pics from Kole's 3rd Birthday!!  THANK YOU to everyone who made Kole's birthday special!!!

Look at all those presents!!!  Believe it or not, there are more that came in the mail another day.  Can  you say SPOILED?!

Kole LOVES balloons and was so excited to see the whole house decorated with "falling" balloons

First present when he got up

I think he's talking to Auntie Lola--and he just opened her present too---a design drill set!

Thomas gift

Ahh...more Thomas!

The last present of the morning (well, not really, he opened a ton.  Just wait until I post the videos!)

Round 2 of presents.  After a nutritious lunch at McDonald's

It's Mighty Mac!!!!  Thanks Aunt Keri, Uncle Jay, Emma, and Anna!

Who wants that piece?

More Thomas

A Misty Island set from Papa Tom and Nanny

A Thomas book

Yes everyone.  I know.  This is an insane amount of trains for a three year old boy.  How can he play trains with no more room on the train table??  Who knows, but he finds a way.  We hear him in there playing with them and making up little stories so there is a way I guess.

T-Rex Cafe---RRRROARRRR!

We celebrated Kole's 3rd birthday with a dinosaur party at the T-Rex Cafe in Downtown Disney this year.  It was a blast and Kole had so much fun checking out the dinos and eating, what else, dinosaur chicken for lunch!  We had some yummy cupcakes and the servers even sang Kole a birthday song!  He was jazzed to open up a few little gifts, including a pair of scissors for crafts, a big dinosaur book and some glow bracelets!  He got to wander around looking at the dinos before lunch and then when we were finished we walked around Downtown Disney.  We went to a toy shop that had a HUGE display of Mr. Potato Head and Grammy bought him a Potato Head with all sorts of accessories---a pirate outfit, Darth Vader outfit, mickey ears, Mrs. Potato Head accessories, and many more.  It was pouring when we got to the store so we hung out there for at least an hour or so until the rain stopped.  We wandered some more and then headed home.  I think everyone but the driver fell asleep at some point on the way home.  I think Kole had fun and was happy to have a party at the T-Rex Cafe :)  If he only knew about all the presents piling up in the kitchen for his actual birthday on Tuesday :)

Kole got to open a couple of little presents at our birthday lunch.  He's been begging for scissors lately!

Our birthday gang ;)

Kole with a dino and his glow necklace Yes, I bought glow bracelets and necklaces for the party.  It was fun!  Oh and yes, he is in a high chair.  It is far too busy there and too tempting to just get up and check things out on his own.  I don't trust him in a place like this yet.  Poor kid.

Sydney is just amazed at the dinos!  I think this was taken during one of the "meteor showers" shows they have every 20 minutes.  The lights go dark and there is lots of thunder and lightning, meteor showers in one of the rooms and LOTS of dinos ROARING!

Sydney wanting dad's necklace

smooch!

Kole could not get away from that roaring dino fast enough.  Glad I took the pic and at least got his cute birthday shirt in it before he bolted!

Cool glow braclets in the dark with the flash off ;)

Mmmmm...yummy cupcakes mom.

Can I have more?

Picture in the Ice Age room

Same Ice Age room but the lights were changing to blue

That's a Triceratops we are posing with

PS: DON'T FORGET TO LOOK AT THE NEXT POST DOWN.  IT'S ALSO NEW :)

Catching up with some pictures

Here are a few (maybe more than a few) pictures that I've been hoarding:

Hurricane Irene.  HIGH surf

Irene's HIGH surf

Irene from our parking lot.  The waves are HUGE and breaking very far out

The "official" Hurricane Irene Family Photo (minus Seth).  Yes, we were on the beach and it was SUPER windy.  Irene didn't come too close---I think around 200 miles from our coast.  It was very windy all day and there was only one instance that made me a little nervous.  We were coming over the causeway near our house (on the way home from taking Emily to the airport) and it was so windy that I could FEEL the wind blowing under my car.  Needless to say, I was white knuckled driving over the river!  It was a little rainy that night and some periods of wind but nothing major. THANK THE GOOD LORD!!!!

She knows she's cute....that means trouble.

She loves wearing hats on her head.  Her fireman's hat was broken so she was without it for a week or so.  She found something to replace it I guess.

Insane kids.  Just after this photo, the gate broke from them leaning on it.  I fixed it though.

Relaxing with a snack

Seth caught a couple hundred mullett out on the beach one morning.  He'll use this for bait this winter.  Yes, it's in my freezer right now.

Kole thought it was totally cool to hold the fish!

Hi fishy fishy.

Day (okay, maybe an hour and a half) at the beach

Seth brought his fishing poles down to the beach

Walking on sand is...different....

Sydney giving her sweet piggie a hug.  She loves him!

This is a face of a little girl, not a baby anymore :(

Both zoned out to a movie on TV.  I think they're siblings, eh?

We managed to get a ponytail in Sydney's hair.  It didn't last long though.

I'm so tired, I think I'll just nap with a fork in my hand
